ABOUT ME
I'm an Essex-based Artist-filmmaker, Producer (EVA Productions), and Facilitator.

In my Non-fiction work as a Writer & Director, I gravitate towards genre films and stories that unapologetically explore otherness and conflict of identity. I’m best known for my exorcist-driven horror film 'The Sacrifice', my animated short film ‘The Red Ball’ and my two upcoming films, 'Basildon Boys' and 'Curse of the Afro Comb'.
My creative practice as a socially engaged Artist filmmaker extends beyond documentation and the moving image, it’s fundamentally driven by my passion to converse, collaborate and celebrate untold stories with communities using experimental and traditional filmic tools. My work explores themes of identity, time, class and trauma using non-fiction and archival material to challenge the current norm. My current creative inquiry is exploring what constitutes archival material and who decides what is significant, representation in the media and the global turmoil surrounding ownership and nationality that seeks to create intolerance rather than promote inclusion or diversity.

My relationship with expanded cinema heavily influences my practice and often dictates the untraditional public spaces in which my films are projected. My previous work includes an anthology of six moving image films for my Basildon-based video art exhibition ‘When I Say Essex, What Do You See?’ , a two-channel film called 'Awojoh, Fusing memory and land with liquid and nourishment' which made its premier at the Estuary 2025 Festival film programme and a new XR work that is building towards a showcase exhibition presented as part of Folkestone Fringe.
Alongside my creative practice, I freelance as a writing facilitator, lead filmmaking projects as part of Essex Visual Arts and previously worked as a secondary school drama teacher with a BA in Theatre & performance studies and an MA in Acting For Screen from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
